Katie Kottke is the kind of designer who doesn’t just create beautiful spaces, she creates experiences that feel like you. From the moment we met by pure chance in a little boutique up in Nisswa, I could tell her work was rooted in something deeper than just aesthetics. Katie runs a full service interior design studio that spans nationwide projects, from custom new builds to full scale renovations, and she’s built a reputation on blending timeless materials with a deeply personal approach.

For her brand shoot, the goal was simple, reflect the level she’s operating at now. We started in one of her finished homes, capturing elevated yet approachable headshots that mirrored her style, professional, relaxed, and full of personality, with her husband, her right hand partner, woven in naturally. Then we shifted into an active build where things got a little more Katie coded. Blueprints out, sawdust flying, client alongside her, documenting the magic she brings to the process, not just the final result.

These images now live across her website, social platforms, and press features, giving her a visual presence that finally matches the caliber of her work. And truly, I’d photograph her again in a heartbeat.
